Tree Permit Information
Requirements of Permits
Tree permits are not required for planting fruit trees in the city. The only trees that a permit is required are Coast Redwood, Blue Gum Eucalyptus,Willow, and Cottonwood Poplar.

Steps for obtaining a tree permit:
1. Decide what trees you want to purchase through local nursery or garden shop.
OR What trees you want to be removed from personal property.
OR The trees needed to be trimmed.
2. Fill out application for tree planting/trimming or removal.
3. Pay tree permit fee of $104.00 for up to 5 trees for planting/ trimming or removal.
4.it may take as long as 2-4 weeks for processing and approval by email and/ or phone call.
